You don’t need to be an expert cyclist or have previous e-bike experience. However, you must already be able to ride a bicycle confidently and independently and feel comfortable riding on urban roads where cars, motorcycles and other vehicles may be present. The Heritage Ride is not designed for people who are learning to ride a bicycle for the first time.

The minimum age is 18 years old. Participants must also have sufficient cycling experience and be comfortable controlling a bicycle independently in an urban environment.

The Heritage Ride starts and finishes at OUDAD Bikes Station in the Océan neighborhood of Rabat. Please arrive at 8:45 AM for bike setup and the safety briefing. Departure is at approximately 9:00 AM.

The experience lasts approximately 3 hours, including riding time, heritage stops, storytelling, short breaks and selected photo stops. We normally return at around 12:00 PM.

The route includes some of Rabat’s most important heritage areas and landmarks, including Bab Laâlou, the Kasbah of the Oudayas, Bouregreg waterfront, Hassan Minaret, Mohammed V Mausoleum, Mohammed V Avenue and Bab El Had. The exact route may occasionally be adapted according to traffic, weather, road conditions or local restrictions.

The 350 MAD/person price includes your ENGWE EP-2 Pro electric bike, OUDAD Ride Leader, 3-hour guided experience, heritage storytelling and local insights, helmet, reflective safety vest, bottled water, pre-ride safety briefing, e-bike introduction, selected heritage and photo stops, and on-route assistance.

No. Entrance fees to monuments or attractions are not included. The Heritage Ride is primarily an outdoor e-bike experience with selected stops around Rabat’s landmarks. If an optional paid entrance is available, it will be at your own expense.

Yes. The Heritage Ride combines an e-bike experience with heritage storytelling and local insights. Your OUDAD Ride Leader introduces you to the history and significance of selected places along the route. It is designed as an active heritage discovery experience rather than a traditional walking tour.

The exact distance can vary depending on the route and conditions on the day. The itinerary is designed to comfortably connect Rabat’s major heritage areas during approximately 3 hours, with regular stops along the way.

Wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes suitable for cycling. Depending on the season and weather, bring an extra layer if necessary. Avoid loose clothing or accessories that could interfere with the bicycle.

You don't need a high level of physical fitness because the ENGWE EP-2 Pro provides electric assistance. However, you must have good bicycle-handling skills, be able to control the bike independently and feel comfortable riding on urban roads with traffic.

Absolutely. We make selected stops at monuments, viewpoints and scenic locations where you can safely take photos. Please do not use your phone or camera while actively riding.

Yes. Solo travellers are welcome and can book one place. The ride operates once the minimum number of participants required for the departure has been reached.

Each Heritage Ride is limited to a maximum of 7 riders, allowing us to keep the experience small, social and easier to manage safely.

Light weather changes do not necessarily mean the ride will be cancelled. If weather or road conditions make cycling unsafe, OUDAD Bikes may modify the route, delay, postpone or reschedule the experience. Safety always comes first.

Yes. A safety helmet and reflective safety vest are provided to every participant and must be worn during the ride.

The Heritage Ride is available every morning, subject to availability and minimum participation.
